Right now the series is 4-1 Oklahoma over Stanford with their most recent meeting being the sun bowl I mentioned in the last post. (Super Bowl=41, Bradford=41, Jim Irsay=41)
Notice the gap in game spans between 1984 to 2009, it was a span of 25 years where they didn't play each other, this year's super bowl is on 2/5.
Stanford's only win was a 17 point victory, if the colts do play the vikings I fully expect Luck to win in 17' like his college team won by 17 points, possibly Luck will even win with 17 points.
This is the 97th NFL season:
Norman=75 O
Norman, Oklahoma where the Sooners are from are on the 97th meridian, and also to note on the 35th parallel, the 35th super bowl was between the Baltimore Ravens and the NY Giants, the colts are originally from Baltimore and NY has been tied to the vikings and the colts all season.
In Super Bowl 35 the two teams combined for 41 points:
And remember the Oklahoma vs Stanford series is at 4-1 right now in favor of Oklahoma.
Also all of their games except the bowl game were in the month of 'September'=103 O, Stanford is 1-3 against Oklahoma in September.
Stanford has scored 108 points all-time against Oklahoma.
'One Hundred eight'=85 R, last time they met in the sun bowl, and after the game both teams had 8-5 records and the score summed to 58 points. (Oklahoma University=85 R) (Stanford, California=185 O)
Together they've scored 234 total points in the series;
When I saw this I was laughing like cmon lol, even if those games back in the early 80's weren't scripted to the point they were definitely scripted in favor of Oklahoma and the 2009 game likely made it so whatever number they hit in numerology would equal 112.
Final note which is just the cherry on top and why I really think Minnesota still has a chance even if they lose this week:
Both colleges' location the way you'd write it on an envelope sum to the same thing, 38 and 101.
With the S exception for 'Stanford, CA' and the K exception for 'Norman, OK', both =47 R, this is the 47th NFL season.
I still see the Vikings in the playoffs and possibly meeting the Giants in the NFC championship.
ReplyDeleteThat means a lot of other teams have to lose but so much lines up for Minny this year, not including Adrian Peterson.
Colts 34 - Vikings 6 = 40 = Peterson (ER)
The Vikings are not that bad but do need a lot of HELP and will get it, if I am right about the NFL script.
vikings can get there, just need to win out, have tampa lose the next 2+washington go 0-3 or 1-2. Plus Detroit needs to beat Dallas/GB so the nfc north doesn't end up in a 3 way tie eliminating the vikings.
Deletedetroit only has to beat dallas or GB, not both just to clarify.
